Most of my work happens in motion. A morning shoot in a hotel suite, an afternoon hike to find the right light, an evening flight to the next city. My bag has to keep up with all of it.
For a long time, that meant compromising. Camera bags protected my gear but felt heavy and stiff after a few hours. Hiking packs were comfortable, but my lenses ended up rolling around at the bottom. The PGYTECH OnePro Ultralight 30L, in black, is the first bag I’ve used that doesn’t make me choose between the two.
Here’s what makes it work.

It carries like a hiking pack
The first thing you notice is how it sits on your back. A two-part frame spreads the weight across your whole back instead of letting it pull on your shoulders. The back panel is a stretched mesh that sits slightly away from your body, so air moves through and you don’t arrive at a shoot with a damp shirt.
You can adjust the back length between 48 and 51 cm, so it sits where it should instead of hanging too low or too high. The shoulder straps are wide and well padded, a chest strap stops the bag from swaying, and the waist belt helps when the bag is full. When you don’t need it, you take it off and tuck it away.
Empty, the bag weighs 1.45 kg. For something built to carry a full camera kit and a laptop, that’s light.
Your camera, in seconds
There’s a zip opening on the left side that gives you direct access to your camera. You swing the bag around on one shoulder, pull the camera out, and shoot. When you film travel content, the best moments rarely wait for you to unpack. This is the feature I’d miss most.

When you do need everything, the back panel opens completely. You see your whole kit at once, which makes packing and checking gear much faster. And because that opening sits against your back while you walk, the main compartment stays closed off in crowded stations and busy streets.
The inside adapts to your day
The main compartment comes with a padded insert that holds a camera body with up to five lenses, or a camera, a lens and a small drone. The dividers move around, and the insert switches between a medium and a small setup.
On days off, you can take the insert out entirely and use it as a regular backpack. Same bag for a shoot day and a day of exploring.
There’s a sleeve for a laptop up to 16 inches, plus a hidden pocket for an AirTag, which is reassuring when the bag sits in a hotel luggage room or an overhead bin.
Room for what you didn’t plan
The top folds open and extends, taking the bag from 55 cm to 70 cm tall. That’s where a jacket, a scarf or the things you pick up along the way go.
The front pocket expands too, and fits a gimbal or a water bladder. On the outside, there are straps under the bag for a tripod, loops on the side for trekking poles, and points on the shoulder straps to clip a camera. The side pocket stretches enough for a full-size water bottle.
Built for changing weather
The fabric is a light but strong nylon that handles splashes, and the front pocket uses a waterproof coated fabric. The zips are water-resistant. For real rain, there’s a cover stored in a small pocket at the bottom of the bag, so it’s always with you.

At 55 × 33.5 × 14.5 cm, it’s also accepted as carry-on luggage.
A few honest notes
It doesn’t stand up on its own, so you’ll lay it down rather than set it upright. It isn’t meant for the washing machine; a damp cloth does the job. And if you shoot wildlife with very long lenses, you’ll want more room than the insert offers.

Why the 30L
The OnePro Ultralight also comes in 20L and 40L. For me, the 30L is the right balance. The 20L is smaller and simpler, but it skips the waist belt, the adjustable back and the rain cover, and it only fits a 14-inch laptop. The 40L is built for longer treks. The 30L holds a full kit, stays carry-on friendly, and doesn’t feel oversized in a city.
Black was the obvious choice. It works everywhere, from a hotel shoot to a mountain trail.
Who it’s for
If your work or your travels move between cities and the outdoors, and you’re tired of switching bags, this one is worth a serious look. It protects your gear without ever holding you back.
You’ll find it on PGYTECH’s website.
